MBRAD is the Moreton Bay Regional Arts (and Cultural) Directory.
The need for a Moreton Bay Arts (and Cultural) Directory was identified at the ‘One Creative Voice’ Forum held at Corso Building, North Lakes in March 2016. Moreton Bay Arts Council Inc. (MBAC) made this project its priority in 2016/17.

The Directory is an accessible and affordable platform that has two purposes.

1.  The Directory – to connect arts and cultural makers in the Moreton Bay Region with the local community and the world, so that more people can experience the rich, diverse nature of the arts and culture that is the Moreton Bay Region

The Directory is a listing of arts and creative individuals, groups and businesses that are active in the Moreton Bay Region today. It is an opportunity for artists, musicians, and actors etc. to be listed in one location on the internet.

Once fully established, the Directory will be an important facility for lovers of the arts in the Moreton Bay Region. The MBAC believe the Directory will help individuals to engage better with the arts and culture; to better access art studios, galleries, sculpture gardens, theatres, and musical performances that are found in the Moreton Bay Region. The main Directory is open to all arts and creative individuals, groups and businesses in the region to register themselves for a nominal fee. Register now.

2. The Honour Board – to honour the individuals, groups, organisations and events that formed the arts and culture community that is found in the Moreton Bay Region today.

The Honour Board is a collection of our creative history acknowledging Individuals, groups, organisations and events that helped form the heritage and history of the arts and culture of the region.
As a general rule, the Honour Board is open to individuals, groups and organisations and events who were active before 2007.

The MBAC asks the community to nominate key individuals, groups,
organisations and events that helped form the arts and culture of the region.
When an individual, group, organisation or events are nominated, the applicant should give the reasons for the nominee’s inclusion on the honour list and supply supporting material for their nominee.

All applications are considered by the MBAC and may be approved for listing on the Honour Board or MBAC may seek more information and place the individual on the Nominated List in the interim, or the MBAC may decide the nominee is not suitable for inclusion on the Honour Board. Moreton Bay Arts Council Inc. has the final say in all matter to do with the Honour Board.
